Massage for Stress & Anxiety in Edmonton

Stress does not just live in your head. It shows up as tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, headaches, shallow breathing and poor sleep. A massage gives you a full hour to switch off, with no phone and no to-do list.

How massage therapy can help

Many people find that regular massage helps them feel calmer and sleep better. A registered massage therapist (RMT) can help you:

  • Release tension in your neck, shoulders, jaw and back
  • Slow down and breathe more deeply
  • Feel more relaxed and rested
  • Make time for yourself on a regular schedule

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to talk during my massage?

Not at all. Many people prefer quiet. Your RMT will check in about pressure, and otherwise you can simply rest.

How often should I book?

Many people come every two to four weeks to keep stress and tension from building up again.

Is massage for this covered by insurance?

Yes, in most cases. All our massages are with registered massage therapists (RMTs), so most extended health plans cover them, and we direct bill most insurers. Some plans need a doctor’s referral, so check your plan first.

Massage therapy is not a replacement for mental health care. If you are struggling, please talk to your doctor. In Alberta you can call the Mental Health Helpline at 1-877-303-2642, any time. In a crisis, call or text 988.
