Live Balanced Massage & Wellness (operated by 1837532 Alberta Ltd.) respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the record-keeping standards of our professional regulatory college.

What information we collect

• Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and date of birth.
• Health information: your health history, the reason for your visit, and treatment notes written by your registered massage therapist.
• Insurance details: your insurance provider, policy and member numbers, so we can bill your insurer directly when you ask us to.
• Appointment and payment records: the dates of your visits, services received and payments made.
• Website information: messages you send through our contact form, and general website usage data (see “Our website” below).

Why we collect it

• To provide safe, appropriate massage therapy and keep accurate treatment records.
• To book and remind you of appointments.
• To bill your insurance company when you ask us to, and to issue receipts.
• To answer your questions and messages.
• To meet our legal and professional obligations.

We only collect what we need for these purposes. We never sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share your information when it is needed to provide our services, or when the law requires it:

• Your insurance company, when you ask us to direct bill.
• Our booking and clinic records system (Noterro), which securely stores appointments and client files on our behalf.
• Our professional regulatory college or other authorities, only where the law requires it.
• Anyone else only with your consent, for example another health-care provider you ask us to send records to.

How we protect it

Client files are kept in a secure, password-protected system and are only accessed by our therapists and staff who need them to care for you. We keep records for as long as required by law and our college’s record-keeping standards, then destroy them securely.

Our website

Our website uses tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads that use cookies to understand how visitors use the site and how well our advertising works. This information is general and does not identify you by name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. When you book online, you are taken to our booking system (Noterro), which has its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to how we use it (subject to legal and record-keeping requirements). To make a request or ask a question, contact us using the details below.
